What is the Shooting Challenge?
A two-month online Educational Athletics challenge
More than a shooting contest — structured training, coaching, accountability, and recognition for the season.
The 127 Sports Intensity Shooting Challenge runs once per year as a focused, two-month program. Athletes log shooting activity, work toward individual goals, complete homework, submit videos for coaching feedback, and participate in other Educational Athletics activities — all online.
This is more than a shot-count contest: athletes get real coaching, personalized video feedback, educational homework review, goal support, accountability, encouragement, and skill development across the season.
Athletes can earn real prizes and recognition. Eligible awards are provided as Amazon gift cards through the program's Award Recipient process — not as an automatic payout for every participant.
Educational Athletics: Basketball is the vehicle. Education is the destination.

About the Coach
Meet the educator and coach behind the Shooting Challenge.
The Shooting Challenge was created by a Montana educator, athletic director, and coach with more than 35 years of experience serving young people through education and athletics.
Mike has spent 9 years at Victor High School and 26 years at Fairfield High School. He has 32 years of experience as an athletic director, including recognition as Class B Athletic Director of the Year and Montana Athletic Director of the Year across all classifications.
As the head boys basketball coach at the high-school level for 14 years, Mike coached teams to a state championship, a state runner-up finish, and multiple fourth-place finishes. He has been named Coach of the Year and has received four Coach of the Year nominations.
Mike founded the Victor Basketball Club in 1993 and the Fairfield Basketball Club in 2002. His work continues through 127 Sports Intensity and the Shooting Challenge, combining basketball development with education, personal growth, goal setting, discipline, and confidence.
The goal is simple: help young athletes become better shooters, better learners, and better people through meaningful practice and thoughtful feedback.
