Getting Out of the Hole

Students read an allegorical story about a soldier trapped in a hole while different people offer advice, tools, or temporary relief. The turning point comes when another soldier who has faced a similar struggle joins him and says he knows a way out. The lesson focuses on empathy, practical support, mental health stigma, and the difference between saying helpful words and providing meaningful help.
